Does anyone else remember when they first heard about the internet? Oddly, I do. I was watching the news in 1988 or 89 and they were talking about the billions being spent on new infrastructure for the 'information highway'. It bizarre how clear the memory is. I really couldn't fathom what they were talking about, but somehow I knew it would profoundly effect my life. My first online experience was e-world. That doomed apple web community. I remember waiting for the first images to load on my dial up internet. It took HOURS! Look at us all now. Lol

Reason number 2,447,890 that I love my husband. Adore actually. He is in the garage watching football. AND polishing the rough edges of all our tea spoons that my dad has accidentally chewed up in the garbage disposal at one time or another. I laughed when I noticed him running his thumb across the spoons in the drawer before choosing one for his cereal. I busted out laughing because I do the same thing. That was MONTHS ago. This morning I find him out there happily doing a three step process involving a dremel tool and polishing compound. Hair all mussed, wearing his old man glasses. God, I love him.

B-|B-|B-|B-|B-|B-|B-|B-|B-|B-|B-|B-|B-| Constantly being broke and stuck in an unhappy marriage, a young husband decided to solve both problems by taking out a large insurance policy on his wife, with himself as the beneficiary, and then arranging to have her killed. A 'friend of a friend' put him in touch with a nefarious, dark-side underworld figure who went by the name of 'Artie.' Artie explained to the husband that his going price for snuffing out of a spouse was $10,000. The husband said he was willing to pay that amount but that he wouldn't have any cash on hand until he could collect his wife's insurance money. Artie insisted on being paid at least something up front, so the man opened his wallet, displaying the single dollar coin that rested inside. Artie sighed, rolled his eyes and reluctantly agreed to accept the dollar as down payment for the dirty deed. A few days later, Artie followed the man's wife to the local Costco Warehouse. There, he surprised her in the produce department and proceeded to strangle her with his gloved hands. As the poor unsuspecting woman drew her last breath and slumped to the floor, the manager of the produce department stumbled unexpectedly onto the murder scene. Unwilling to leave any living witnesses behind, ol' Artie had no choice but to strangle the produce manager as well. However, unknown to Artie, the entire proceedings were captured by the hidden security cameras and observed by the shop's security guard, who immediately called the police. Artie was caught and arrested before he could even leave the premises. Under intense questioning at the police station, Artie revealed the whole sordid plan, including his unusual financial arrangements with the hapless husband who was also quickly arrested. The next day in the newspaper, the headline declared. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . (You're going to hate me for this...) V V V V "ARTIE CHOKES 2 for $1.00 @ Costco" Oh, quit groaning! I don't write this stuff, I receive it from my other warped friends, and then send it on to you.

Woot woot! Chick power rules. I used truecar.com to buy my car at the dealership. Basically you tell them what car you want with what options and then print out a voucher with a barcode that guarantees the price on your vehicle. You bring it to the dealership and voila, you get your car at a very steep discount. There is no cost to use truecar. I paid $1945 BELOW INVOICE for mine. Just sayin'...

The judge told Bee that they had been judging this contest for a long time and that when they tasted they pie, they wanted to marry her. Lol. A lesson learned here. Bee was adamant that my apple pie was the best she had ever had. I poo pooed her and she insisted on entering my recipe in the contest. Ya just never know. Lol.

Making Dad his birthday dinner. It's the same every year. His mothers meatloaf and scalloped potatoes. Also every year TWO desserts. Also both his mothers recipe. Orange pudding (sort of like a baked orange custard) and Dutch strawberry shortcake. He is about to be in his happy place. Lol.
